JR Ruiz brings a depth of business, government, and non-profit knowledge and experience to the ViaNovo team. She is based in the firm's Austin 
office.
JR joined ViaNovo from Deloitte Consulting, where her professional accomplishments included the development and implementation of an integrated performance management system for a major state tax and revenue agency. She also contributed significant qualitative and quantitative international research to States of Transition, a book published by Deloitte Research focusing on tackling states' toughest policy and management challenges such as global competition and serving the aging citizenry. Previously, JR worked for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) where she focused on internal and external customer and community relations.
JR earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Public Affairs from UT's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.
JR is a graduate of Leadership Austin and a past President of Young Women's Alliance (YWA). Other community involvement has included board positions with the Center for Child Protection and Youth Launch.
