1 Direct engagement by senior leaders. Our senior leaders are deeply committed to delivering direct, hands-on service throughout every facet of a client relationship. The ViaNovo partners and senior staff you see at proposal time are the team you will see during an engagement.
1 Deep collaboration with clients. We don't have all the answers and we don't pretend to. Some of the best work we have done has come from helping clients articulate and bring to life their own ideas.
1 Focus on action. We like to make things happen, not make reports and PowerPoint decks to sit on shelves. Sometimes, this means getting down in the trenches to help clients execute on our recommendations. Other times it means speaking hard truths to senior management to break false consensus.
1 Clear, concise communications. We don't like consulting-speak and business jargon and try to avoid it. We agree with Winston Churchill that "Broadly speaking, the short words are the best, and the old words best of all."
1 Fact-based analysis. We are data-driven people. Our recommendations are grounded in facts, not intuition, and experience, not theory. This often leads us to challenge long-held beliefs and conventions.
1 Commitment to deadlines. We think deadlines matter, and we do everything humanly possible to meet them. If we can't, we let clients know in advance and take responsibility.
1 Sense of perspective. Our clients work hard. We work hard. The work is important. But life's short. A sense of humor and of life beyond work is part of our DNA.
